Well, butter my biscuit, this weekend’s set-up was one for the scrapbooks! I was hired to help set up a darling princess-themed birthday bash for a crowd of about 100 fabulous folks. Now, the venue? Let’s just say she had a little vintage character—think wood paneling and faux brick that hadn’t seen a facelift since Eisenhower was in office.
But sugar, I live for a challenge.
My client—an absolute dreamboat in a swoon-worthy green swing dress (seriously, someone call Vogue!)—had one big wish: soften the space and glam it up with fabric. And you know what this gal had in her trusty toolkit? Just thumb tacks and a whole lotta determination.
🎀 Here’s What We Cooked Up:
- Draped that faux brick like it was going out of style (spoiler: it was).
- Created a stunning photo booth setup with shimmering gold curtains—because what’s a party without a little sparkle?
- Tucked a second photo spot right under a charming archway, decked out with everyone’s favorite Disney princesses—perfect for the pint-sized royals in attendance.
- The client even whipped up the sweetest crown-and-veil wall décor, giving the whole space that storybook sparkle.
I had an absolute ball and met some truly lovely folks. Can’t wait to hear how today’s party goes—I just know it’ll be a happily-ever-after kind of day. 💕
